Rissala Electric Motors Private Limited (REM) an electric mobility startup has launched Evolet e-scooters and quad bike in India for a starting price of ₹ 39,499 . The company launched Evolet Polo Pony, Polo and Derby electric scooters for India.

The Polo Pony e-scooter was launched at starting price of ₹ 39,499 while the Polo at ₹ 44,499 and the Derby at ₹ 46,499. Each of the e-scooter is made available in two variants i.e EZ and Classic. EZ trims are cheaper than the classic trims. EZ trims come with a valve-regulated lead acid battery while the Classic variants come with lithium ion battery for higher trim. The all terrain electric vehicle is called Warrior and is priced at Rs.1.40 lakh.

“We want to come up with product that has no transportation cost and is affordable with good after-sales facility. Through informative marketing, we can educate the masses about e-scooters and ascertain the fact that these vehicles are more beneficial than other types of vehicles available in the market,” said Prerana Chaturvedi, CEO and Spokesperson, Rissala Electric Motors Private Limited.
The company has his manufacturing facility at Bilaspur in Haryana, the manufacturing facility is spread across 1,00,000 square feet and claims of having world class facilities for manufacture of electric vehicles. Initially the company plans to introduce Evolet in Delhi-NCR, Rajasthan, Punjab, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. Within a span of next two months the vehicles will be made available across the country.
The entry-level Polo Pony comes equipped with a 250 watt waterproof brushless DC (BLDC) motor which is capable of attaining a maximum speed of 25 kmph while returning a range of 60 km on a full charge. The EZ variant will sport a 48 V/24 Ah lead-acid battery is priced at ₹ 39,499 while the lithium-ion powered 48 V/24 Ah battery in Classic trim is priced at ₹ 49,499.
The Polo Pony claims to made of lightweight construction which enables easy maneuverability, the Polo on other hand is capable of returning a range of 65km on a full charge while attaining a top speed of 25kmph. Batteries of similar capacity as that of Polo Pony are used. The Polo EZ is priced at ₹ 44,499 while the Polo Classic is priced at ₹ 54,499.
The Derby on the other hand is slightly muscular and is able to attain a top speed of 25 kmph along with a 60 km range on a full charge. The Derby is powered by a slightly powerful 60 V/30 Ah battery for both EZ and Classic trims. The EZ variant of Derby is priced at ₹ 46,499 while the Classic trim is sold for ₹ 59,999.

Evolet has also launched a off-roader ATV named Warrior with a powerful 3000 watt waterproof BLDC motor. The Warrior is capable of attaining a top speed of 20 kmph. The Warrior is powered by a 72 V/40 Ah lithium ion battery which returns a range of 50 km per charge. The ATV is marketed at a price tag of ₹ 1.40 lakh.
Evolet has also incorporated connected features which feature various IoT features on top-of-the-line variants of their range. They perform various tasks and provide umpteen number of information such as vehicle information, battery health, battery status, GPS, geo-fencing, security tracking. It is possible to book service appointments through the app as well.
Evolet scooters will come with a additional fast charger which is capable of fully charging the battery in three hours. During the launch event Evolet showcased their future launches an electric maxi-scooter Raptor , a naked street commuter motorcycle Falcon, and a full-faired electric sportbike Hawk.
